Locadia has featured for the Netherlands from Under-17 to Under-21 level but he is yet to make his senior debut for the Flying Dutchmen, having been overlooked for the likes of Ryan Babel, Memphis Depay, Luuk de Jong and Arnaut Groeneveld recently.

The 24-year-old joined the Seagulls in January 2018 from PSV for a reported £15million but he has struggled to cement down a regular first-team place, making just four Premier League starts. His lack of playing time has made it difficult to impress Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman although the striker could be handed an opportunity at home to Wolves on Saturday, with Glenn Murray unlikely to play after suffering from concussion in the 1-0 win at Newcastle United.

With Locadia also looking for more international chances, Curacao head coach Remko Bicentini has revealed the forward could play for his side. He told FOX Sports: “He could play with me, yes, we have had contact with him several times. The last time was last month, he has indicated that he finds it difficult to make the choice. At Brighton, he does not play enough matches, especially if you are going to act on a large platform.”

Curacao are currently 81st in the FIFA world rankings and have some familiar faces in their squad, such as Eloy Room - who plays for PSV, Cuco Martina - who plays for Stoke on loan from Everton, Leandro Bacuna - who is currently at Reading, and ex-Albion player Kemy Agustien.
